My name is Sienna, and I am a freelance copy editor and proofreader offering my services to self-publishing and independent authors. 

I have a Bachelor’s degree in English which helped hone my editorial skills, particularly through my dissertation which focused on creative writing. It was through workshops in which I edited my peers’ work that I realised my love for proofreading and providing feedback on writing. Not only this, but I had my own work analysed by my peers, so I am very aware of how vulnerable it can feel to entrust someone with your story. I understand the importance of providing feedback in a thoughtful, sensitive and caring manner. 

In the Spring of 2025, I started my own book account on Instagram and TikTok. This has enabled me to connect with a variety of editors, authors and a generally amazing community. It is here that this idea came to life as I began editing authors’ work in my free time. 

I am based in Bristol in the UK, and am open to editing both English (UK) and English (US). I’m happy to work across a wide range of genres. Alongside my freelance work, I work in academic publishing, giving me further experience working carefully with complex written material.

I hope to write my own books one day, while continuing to help other authors bring their stories to life. This is a passion of mine, and I am excited to work with you to publish a book you feel proud of.
